Yes, you are reading it right. You're not dreaming. You can really become a mobile writer like me! That means that you no longer have an excuse just because you don't have a computer. It's location freedom to the max!

Nowadays, smartphones and tablets are as powerful as a laptop. You don't have to worry about needing so much money to invest in technology. Though many smartphones can be pretty expensive, most of us own one.

Benefits of Being a Mobile Phone Writer

Honestly, it's something that needs to get used to. I resorted to mobile writing because my laptop just gave up on me. Then I don't have a choice but to find another way. I have deadlines and work to get done. So I just use my smartphone when I'm on the go.

1. Work at Any Position

When I feel lazy, I don't have to drag myself to my table. I don't suffer from staring at a blank page. Using my smartphone, I can work while I'm standing, sitting, and laying down in bed.

I'm guilty of working in my bed most of the time. It has become my home office already. But hey, it works for me! I can write articles for my clients. I've written 10 novels while laying down in bed. That's how I usually work!

2. Work Anywhere

It's given that you can write anywhere if you're on your mobile. I do this while I have to wait in a long line at the grocery store. I also don't stay in one part of my house when I write. Sometimes inspiration can strike you anywhere and you have to take advantage of it!

3. No More Limits

You don't need to worry about being confined to one area anymore. Sure, laptops can be handy since you can just use them almost anywhere too. But a smartphone or a tablet is small enough to carry around.

It's very convenient to just take out your smartphone while you're on your commute. When a great idea suddenly crosses your mind, you have to write it down without any delay. It works well for writers since we don't need a computer for our files.

How to Become a Mobile Phone Writer

Here are the things you need to have and to do so that you can become a mobile writer. No need to get a pricey computer since we're already living in a high-tech world. Follow these three steps to get started with writing.

1. Use a Smartphone or Tablet

It's pretty easy to get started. Anyone has a smartphone or tablet anyway. You can just go ahead and start using it. Smartphones are handy and in my opinion, it's easier to type from there than using a tablet.

2. Download the Essential Apps

Android and iOS have productivity apps that you can download. You can start working and just keep the same apps that you like. I downloaded Google Docs, MS Word for Android, Chrome, and Grammarly for my writing business.

Additional apps I use are the StaryWriting app for my novels. Then I use the WordPress app for my blog. My phone is my virtual office. I also have social media apps for my promotions.

3. Start Writing

Once you have your productivity apps, you can now go ahead and start writing! No more excuses because you can work even if your body is not cooperating. Just make sure to turn on the "Do Not Disturb" feature as you work.

Another useful tip while using your smartphone for work is to turn on "Airplane Mode". That will help you a lot to focus on the task at hand. You wouldn't want anyone calling you while you're creating a masterpiece.

Conclusion

Living in a digital era is one of the best humanity has. So it's best to take advantage of the technology. You don't have to always stick with the traditional ways. Everything is possible as long as you use your imagination.

Modern problems need modern solutions. Use your smartphone to keep you going. It's more useful than you think it is. So don't hold back and lay down in bed while you work. Then you can also become a mobile writer.
